Well I certainly have been away for a long time. I'm trying to change my background, so wish me luck.

Christmas preparation

Hi,

Miranda and I made the Saltine Cracker Toffee for teachers and coaches and we got rave reviews. It's so easy to make and inexpensive. Maybe you can try it for that special little gift for a youth group leader, mailman, etc. Bring a little joy to someone unexpectedly this year.

Blessings,

Heidi

Projects

Saltine Cracker Toffee

Saltine Cracker Toffee
Saltines
2 sticks butter
2 c. brown sugar
12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips

Line cookie sheet with foil, spray with Pam. Line crackers side by side in a single layer on the foil. In a saucepan combine the sugar and the butter. Bring to a boil and boil for 3 minutes. Immediately pour over saltines and spread to cover crackers completely. Bake at 400 degrees for 5 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over the top. Let sit for 5 minutes and then spread melted chocolate with spatula or knife. Put in refrigerator for 2-3 hours. Break apart and enjoy!

Tear Jerker video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-vaGctUJJY&eurl=http://www.7rosepetalpath.blogspot.com/&feature=player_embedded

Hi Ladies,

Well, I'm at it again. While checking out some other blogs for ideas, I came across this video about a brave little boy. It made me cry, of course, but then I praised God for my two healthy girls.

Heidi :-)

Christmas video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSpjqgfhGPE

I absolutely love this video. As some of you may know, I tend to get depressed around the holidays. I don't really know why, it just happens every year. It may be because there are those special people who I don't get to spend Christmas with or the fact that Christmas is commercialized and such a big emphasis on spending.

Hopefully you can view it. Blessings!!
