Christmas decorations

Hi Everyone,

I'm going to attempt to put some pics of our tree and decorations. I went to this really cool little shop in downtown Dunedin called Rasberries. I found this little sign that says "Keep Christ in Christmas" I knew that I had to have it and the price was right at under $8.00.

Some of the traditions that we have in family is that the girls get a new ornament each year from some of their grandparents. When they leave home some day :-( , they will get to take them with them. Another thing that we have done is gone caroling in senior centers or mobile home parks. This has been a highlight for me because to see the joy on the faces of the elderly folks makes it all worth it.

If you have a moment, let me know what your traditions are or if you have a special recipe to share, I will post it. May you and your family have a Jesus filled Christmas.

Love,

Heidi Ho Ho

My FAVORITE tradition , when I was a kid, (can't afford it now! ) was what we called "santa's elves"! Each year we picked a needy family and we began dropping things off at their door step, 12 days before Christmas! Each night we would bring differnt things, from baking goods to Bicycles! The rules were that they could not open ANY of their presents until Christmas morning and they were never allowed to "peek" or try to find out who we were! We would come at a different time each night-ring the door bell and RUN! SO much fun...and the highlight of my Christmas! One year, the family that we helped could not even afford a Christmas tree, so we delivered one to them. We used to get all kinds of letters, colored pictures, and cookies from the kids...addressed to "santa's elves" of course! One year, we even got "hay, for Rudolf"! I will never forget the joy of beign able to bless another family, in such a special way! One day....one day-I hope to be able to do it again!
